Home Visit & Free Lead Test

Sign up for a free, 30-minute home visit from a Lead
Safe D.C. Outreach Worker.

The outreach worker will:

1) Share the latest on lead poisoning prevention
information with you and your family.

2) Give you cleaning supplies and explain how cleaning can help in lead poisoning prevention.

3) Explain how to best access government resources that can help you receive a water filter and other resources.

4) Offer a Free Home Lead Test in which we Take samples from your home to test for the presence of lead. This is a simple process in which the outreach worker will take a digestible wipe (similar to a small baby wipe) and wipe surfaces of your home that may contain lead dust. This sample is then sent to a lab. The lab will then return the results to us and we will inform you of the results after we receive them.
